Fen- nel is at present employed with the U.S. Engineer§ at the Subport and during World War II served with the ordnance branch of the {Army in the grade S-Sgt. He is at| | present commander of the local| | VFW post and also holds office |in the department VFW. It was announced that there are istill openings in toth enlisted and officer grades. Information per- taining to enlistment may be ob- | tained at the offices of the Alaska National Guard, House of Repre- | sentates, in the Federal Building. Captain Arthur Walker, Detach- | { ment $-3, announced that a qsy on | the local firing range is being planneq in the near future. The | shooting is contingent on the ar-| rival of the initial issue of arms and ammunition. Walker also spoke on correspon- dence courses available to enlisted men which will allow them' upon completion to be eligible for com- ‘| mission.
