Chennault declined to talk abcut the Chinese civil war situation. Chennault arrived at San Fran- cisco on a Philippines Airlines plane. His Chinese wife accom- panied him. Chennault said he plans to visit his home in Louisiana and then return to China. During the stopover at Honolulu Chennault had commented that if his Flying Tigers were revived, they could turn the tide in Nationalist China.
