MONDAY, DECEMBER 20, 1948 PARKER CHILDREN ARE BAPTIZED AT METHODIST SERVICE Laurie Ann and Margaret Kath- arine Parker, children of Lauris S. and Katharine Parker, were bap- tized at the Christmas Baptism serv- ice of the Methodist Church yes- terday morning. Following the wedding, the youn couple will honeymoon in Florida. Mr. Newmarker was graduated from the Juneau High School u 1943 and served in the Merchan Marine during the War. He w graduated from the Merchant Ma- rine Academy at Kings Point, New York, and is now second mate on; the SS. Argentina, a Moore-Mac- Cormick liner, whieh sails between New York and Buenos Aires. Mr. and Mrs. Newmarker have been on a six weeks’ vacation in the Northwest and Mr. Newmarker re- turned Thursday via Pan Americ Airways and Mrs. Newmarker elled on the Denali, which arrived this morning.
