The name “Rendezvous Room” was submitted by Eleanor O'Reilly, pianist, who is playing an engage- ment at the Baranof Hotel's Bubble | Roem; Miss Dorothy Farrell and Mrs. Senna Paul F()\\Lr.s. Announcement of the winning name, and of the prize for submit- ting it, was made Saturday night at the Country Club, to a crowd that taxed lounge, dinner and danc- | ing accommodations. As three persons had suggested “Rendezvous Room,” all three were given champagne dinners for two, at the time of their choice. Ken Fagan, hypnotist-magician, entertained the crowd. Tem George has just received werd about holiday entertainment at the Country Club. After an exchange of telegrams as to avail- able talent, George received this one from an agent: ‘This is good! Hank Cowan, cur- y best bet in Hellywood, just »d from Chicago. Comedian, emcee, novelty harmonica artist; better ventriloguist than Berge mitates Ink Spots, etc. Gags, all- ound one-man show.” George hopes that Cowan will be performing at least a week be- icre Christmas. “And,” he adds, “the Club is warm as toast; the road is in per- fect condition—we even have a new neon sign to cateh the eye.” R WINTERLAND THEME FOR SENIOR BALL AT J-HIGH FRIDAY Winterland will be the theme of the Senior Ball to be held Friday 1t in Juneau High School gym at 9 o'clock.
