I Summary and Recommendations for Legislation, Miss Aiice Brande- tury, Dept. Public Welfare, Director Social Eervice. All wonien interested are cordial- ly invited to attend thls meeting ] SCHOOL BUS SERVICE CONTINUES ONE MONTH ‘The Board of Directors of the Ju- nean School District, at its recené meating authorized the continuance of hus service for those pupils living tetween the city limits and the last stop of the Territorial school bus for another month. The Board stated, however, that unless the use of this bus system increased, it was doubtful whether it would be possible to_continue this service. When originally con- tracted, it was estimated that ap- proximately 40 children would make use of this service. To date the av- erage use has been but 27 children, with a maximum of 30 being carried at any one time. Since the differ- enct between the numter of pupils riding the bus and the daily cost of the transportation is subsidized by ‘he School District, this small ameunt of service places an, exces- sive cost burden on the District which the Board feels it may not be able to continue unless the use by children in that area increases. { THE LAST OF THE A\ _STUFF ABOARD, E'VE MADE CAS I‘S OF SEVERAL FOOTPRINTS AT THE SITE OF THAT DIET THE KID, WEVE GOT A CHINESE RED CROS5 CARGO FOR A PAY MAYSE PICKUPA LOAD.
