| ? | WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER |, ALICE JEAN DAVIS RETURNS FROM GIRL- $COUT CONFERENCE Girl ; Alice Jean Davis, Senior Scout, who was chosen as a rep-| resentative to the Girl Scouts In- | ternational ‘Conference at Coopers- | town, New York, returned home on Sunday via Pan American Airways. This was the first year that the Conference has ever been held in the Western Hemisphere and the United States, Canada and Brazil were hosts to scout leaders from all over. the world. Alice Jean was one of fifty Senior Girl Scouts who were invited to work at the leader's conference. Alice Jean said, "Although my soie reason for being there was to work, 1 had a wonderful time, I met so many swell gals and many important foreign delegates.” In Montana she was joined by unm'nm scout, Exleen Budul V. SR AR who was also a delegate. The two girls travelled to New York togethm and met other Scouts and th Canadian Guides. This group wns | taken on a two- day conducted tour of New York, which included a boat trip around Manhatten Island.
