It was a weasel (ermine) in his snowy white coat with its con- trasting black tip of nose, tail, and shiny tlack eyes. They gave it food and it became very tame, not be- coming the least . concemned nor alarmed when they brought in the neighbors to show him off, One eve- ning they went in to see him but no weasel! Instead, there was a little furry thing, his coat o brown it was almost black, his golden-orange throat was dotted with little brown spots. He grew very tame and would not mnd being shown off either. Fin- ally one neighbor said that it was defiaitely a martin. The martin be- cacies he liked and he would sit on not mind being shown either. Fin- ing the day. However when the severely cold nights gave way to warmer ones, he moved out of the washroom and the weasel moved pack in.. One day Mr. weasel ap- proached Mr. Matson and sat on his hoe.
