For the Imperials it was Pasquan and McDonald hitting the hoop at one and two baskets respectively. Last Quarter With the beginning of the last quarter it was do or die basketball, both teams realizing it was a fight to the finish. First one team scored a basket, then the other re- taliated, never more than two points separating the two teams. The Starr Hill team was hard hit |when Scott and Aase fouled out with minutes to go. Mead and Pasquan tied the score for their respective squads several times in the last minutes of play. Finally Mead was fouled under the basket |attemping a lay-in shot and he |was able to make one of his |free throws, carrying his team in- {to the overtime period with a| 36- {36 tie. “ With the beginning of the over- time, Les Hogins made a beauti- ful shot from the side, giving the Starr Hill squad a temporary lead o1 38-36, but Jim Nielsen and Tom- my Powers came back for the Im- perial team, scoring one and ftWwo baskets respectively, the game end- ling 42-38 in favor of the Im- perial team.
