Graham |was the only man who came back | empty nded, but all reported | soor shooting. | Junge almost missed out on his deer when she shot at one standing still at a range of about 150 feet |and missed. Fortunately the deer | remained standing long enough for Junge to take another shot which ait the mark. A party of three men from the Subport returned with two deer, it is reported. Dave Nichols and Oscar Cecotti were the two lucky cnes, while Cliff Robards was | skunked. George Johnson is an- jother hunter from the Subport {who is reported to have taken a | | uck. Ole Westby trought in his boat the Oceanic, with George Bryson, T. Tucker and Bob Pollock. Each man got his deer in that party. {Dr. Robert Simpson was out with a party and reported that he was | skunked. However, Don and Charles Skuse, who were also along, got { one buck between them. | Checking quickly through the antlers which had been turned in ! at Darnell’s late Saturday and yes- erday, C. W. Cady brought wack a deer from Kuiu Island with two points on one side, four on the other; B. B. Gleason took a five i oointed on Douglas Island. V. W. Grogan checked in a three point set taken on Douglas Island; jock Boddy took a three pointer at Doty’s Cove; Hjalmar and Hu- vert Saviko each took a fine buck in the Glass Peninsula area, Hjal- mar’s a four pointer and Hubert's a wide three pointer. Alex Tas- sel brought in a set of antlers with three points on one side, jour on the other. Many hunters have not taken their antlers to Darnell’s as yet, and some have not even ajrived back in town.
