HOONAH TEACHER, VISITS Miss Wilhelmina Luebke is a houseguest this weekend, of Miss Irene Johnson, Douglas teacher, who has taken the apartment over the Feusi & Jensen store. Miss Luebke is a teacher at Hoonah. She and Miss Johnson met and became friends on the boat bring- ing them to their Alaska school teaching positions this fall. MOVES Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wittanin, and son Frederick moved this week- end from their Glacier Highway home to temporary quarters in the former Govt. School. Mrs. Wittanin is first and second grade teacher in the Douglas Public School. RECEPTION TO TEACHERS A successful, teachers reception, was held last evening in the re- creation rooms of the Govt. School with a good turnout of residents. Teachers this year are, Supt. Lon C. Rice, Mrs. Clarence Wittanin, Elizabeth Lancaster, Robert Wag- ner, Miss Irene Johnson, Ray Reed and Mary Peter. Pouring for the ceception were Mrs, H. R. Johnson, Vice President, and Past President, Mrs. Glenn Rice.
