The high pressure area which gave Southeast Alaska such good weather the last two or three days has also moved off to the southeast producing clear skies and cool nights over British Columbia and central Canada. There are a few scattered showers over southern Canada and in Montana accomvanying the cooler air which is moving southward through the upper Plains States and giving some relief from the heat from which that area has been suf- fering for several days. Temperatures were below freezing this morning over quite a large area of central Canada but elsewhere ‘throughout Canada and Alaska temperatures were in the forties or low fifties. Skies were cloudy over most of Alaska but only in the Tanana Valley was there more than scattered showers. MARINE WEATHER BULLETIN Reports from Marine Stations at 1:30 P.
