Made from the best-seiler Isabel Scott Rorick novel, “Mr. and Mrs Cugat,” the picture presents the tall and handsome Ray in his top comedy role to date. As George Cugat, a banker with ‘a future shily giddy wife, he frolics through some of the funniest scenes of his career. Bet- ty, of course, is Mrs. Cugat and the sultry, blue-eyed Pat Morison is the “other woman,” a man-mad divorcee who sets her cap for Ray and almost wrecks a happy home. Much of the picture’s comedy centers arcand the Cugat habit of telling little white lies. After the end of five years, Am- {vets says, go back to the present system of preferences. R The Veterans of Foreign Wars, too, think the present setup should be changed. They think the ten- point preference should go only to vets who have at least a 10 per- cent disability. And they think that only veterans who have at least a 30-percent disability rat- ing should get shoved up to the top of the list of eligibles. “Why,” 1 was told, “under the present setup a slightly disabled veteran who maybe got a punc- tured eardrum or something gets a much better chance for a C.
