These fronts which appear to be forming several hundred miles south of the Aleutian Chain are moving northeastward 30 to 40 miles per hour and seem to be spaced 500 to 800 miles apart. Each front brin in slightly warmer and more moist air and tempeartures over Southeast Alaska are slowly rising but skies are covered with several layers of clouds. Surface winds are slowly increasing and intermittent rain is falling from Ketchikan to Yakutat while snow or rain and snow mixed is falling from Yakutat westward to Bethel and Naknek.
