Mr. Wagner, seventh and eighth grade teacher in the Douglas School, remained at home and has spent most of the summer doing school maintenance work in pre- paration for the new school term which begins next month. His family reported an excellent vacation but is happy to be home. FAREWELL Balog gave a farewell party on Monday evening for the Mi Betty and Pat McCarron, who were to leave today via Alaska Coastal for Ketchikan, Alaska. From there the girls will travel by steamer to Seattle and then by train bick to their home port of Chicago, Ill. At the farewell party, the girls were presented with several gifts which they are leaving in Alaska. The party was held at the home of the girls uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. P.
