Dr.-Paul Myron Aptekman, chem- ist at the Wistar Institute of An- atomy and Biology, produced the alechotic extract. He was aided by Dr. Margaret Reed Lewis, research expert on cancer, and Dr. Helen Dean King, who inbréd the rats for the experiments.
