She said that Campbell refused to drink but the other woman be- drunk, left the room, and was later arrested. She said that she, Campbell and Meeks went out to eat and that she left them about 7 o'clock that evening. Mrs. Wildes testified that on the night of Dec. 9, 1945, she saw two men walking past her home on Evergreen av- enue. It was, she said, a terrible night, windy and raining. She said she saw the men by the light.of a street lamp at about 7 or 8 o'clock and that the shorter of the two was talking and gesticulating. She said the taller man was about five feet, eleven inches tall and the other was about two inches shorter. She said she watched them until they disappeared around a corner of the road There was no cross examination. Saturday’'s proceedings were; marked, as in the past, by Paul's| cross examination of witnesses into what the accused wore at the time of the crime.
