A criminal charge of 'drunken driving, brought by Hart against Buchanan immediately following the crash, has been dismissed for want of evidence In his complaint, Buchanan re- lates that on the evening of Janu- ary 5, 1946, he was driving his 1936 Plymouth sedan toward Douglas at a moderate and lawful rate of speed on the right hand side of the road. Alfred Zenger, son of Mu and Mrs. Alfred Zenger, returned to Tacoma, Wash., late last week and has received his honorable discharge |from the armed forces at Fort Lewis Separation Center. Young Zenger entered the service four years and two months ago in Juneau. He has seen service in the Iregular army at Chilkoot Barracks, Excursion Inlet, Anchorage, the Aleutians, California, Mississippi, ‘and just recently in India, where he ended up with the Engineering Corps disposing of surplus property. |He traveled across the Pacific, 10,000 imiles in 29 days, enroute home to |the United States.
