Consumption of natural and re- claimed rubber, and mixtures of synthetic and natural rubber by Brazilian manufacturers, increased 138 percent for the same period. Export of tires increased from 3,600 in 1940 to 171,990 in 1944. Tube exports increased for the same per- iod from 300 to 117,608. The same figures show that the value of manufactured rubber goods exported increased from about $81,- 000 in 1940 to $2,842,000.
