, THURSDAY, AUGUST 23,1945 "ABROAD WITH TWO YANKS" IS CAPITOL'S BILL “Abroad With Two Yanks” is the big comedy feature at the Capitol nd the last showings are tonight. Here is just a starter of the story: 1A troop transport pulls into an Aus- |tralian port, and a group of battle- |scarred marines prepare to disem- bark for a furlough. Among them are Biff Koraski (Willlam Bendix) iand Jeff Reardon (Dennis O'Keefe), iendly rivals in many romantic ad- | ventures in which Jeff always man- jages to outwit Biff. Jeff goes on ahead of Biff and finds the beautifal Joyce Stuart | (Helen Walker). He introduces sim- |self as Biff and makes sufficient | headway with Joyce to be invited to the Stuart home that evening. Her Scotch father Roderick (George | Cleveland) greets him effusively and requests that he tell the story of how he saved cousin Cyril (John |Loder). BIiff was the one who sav- {ed Cyril's life in battle, and had | therefore been given the letter of introduction by Cyril to Joyce. Later Cyril (John Loder) arrives, and both learn about Jeff's deception.
