Mrs. Walter An- drews was elected to serve on the Douglas School Board for a three year term in yesterdays election, re- ceiving 71 votes. Mrs. Andrews is a long time resident of Douglas and has three children attending the’ Douglas Public Schools. Mrs. Edwin Johnson was elected to serve on the Board for a two year term, having defeated Taunto Niemi in a close election, receiving 40 votes with her opponent receiving 38. Mrs. Johnson is a resident of only a few JOE PALOOKA terest in the community very much and is very active in civic affairs, which ineludes being Girl Scout leader of the Douglas group. Arne Shudshift, who has seerved on the school board for ten years, is the third member of the Board and its President. WALTERS CITY COUNCILMAN Clarence E. Walters was elected to serve on the Douglas City Council in yesterdays election for a two year term. This is Walters first politi- cal move in the community, but he is well known and a property owner here. Walter is a pilot for the Coastal Airways.
