For f “Mrs. Miniver,” and Blossoms in the Dust” have been brought to- gether again in a beautiful love story. “Madam Curie,” which ends to- night at the Capitol Theatre, is based on Eve Curie’s best-seller biography of her mother, Marie Curie. It is basically a love s of great warmth and tenderne told against the suspenseful back- ground of a scientific achievement without parallel, the discovery of radium. Marie and Pierre Curie found the key to one of nature’s most carefuily guarded secrets only because of their devotion for each other. Fame, honors and money, which they could have had in fabulous amounts, meant nothing to them. All they ever wanted was their love and their work, and oeut they gave the of its rarest gifts, radium. —_— N'S SCHOOL CONCERT The annual concert is sented tonight to be pre-| at 8 o'clock in the Parish Hall by the Sisters and! pupils of St. Ann's School Parents and friends of the school program which includes festive choruses, a military drill, a pajama action song, a Christmas! dance, a patriotic remembrance for “the boys over there”, and, the last number on the program, “Marietta’s Christmas Gift.” WATKINS GOOD HEALTH PRODUCTS Foods, Medicines, Flavorings and Spices, Toiletries and Household Necessities at PRE-WAR CEILING PRICES Phone 174 COMPLETE STORE 127 SEWARD ST.
