| MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1944 AEAETARAERER.. = LUCILLE BALL | YT | STARS IN FILM, « CAPITOL SHOW TOPS THEM™ ¥ What happens when a movie star accepts an invitation to a college prom, much to the consternation of the fan who invited her, forms the background for the hijinks on the screen of the Capitol Theatre where M-GeM’s Technicolor scintillating musical, “Best Foot Forward,” now showing Lucille Ball plays a movie star who accepts a fan letter invitation from young Tommy Dix to attend the prom as a publicity stunt. Lu- cille has her doubts about the whole affair but her press agent, William Gaxton, is confident the resulting fanfare will turn the trick of having her option picked up. Tommy, who never expected Lu- cille to accept, is devastated, but not from joy. For he has invited his best girl, Virginia Weidler, to the dance and besides, Winsocki tradition does not include movie stars. Tommy’s solution is to take Lucille as Vir- | ginia in spite of Lucille’s protest. | Complicaions'.set in when Virgnia arrives on the scene with good samaritan intentions of nursing | Tommy through his “illness.” | RN || o Stated Communication of Mf.| SAlE AI KET(HIKA“ Juneau Lodge 147 F & A M Mon- day evening at 7:30 o'clock.
