ARMISTICE IS BEING SOUGHT BY BULGARIA WASHINGTON, Aug. 28—Secre- tary of State Cordell Hull reported that the Bulgarian officials have been in touch with the Allied gov- ernments on the question of mak- ing an armistice, but said he didn’t know whether the Ameri- can officials were among those con- tacted like in the case of Rumania, which has already turned on the German troops when she declared her intention to fight on the Allied side.
