(MPR 165 became effective in the continental United States in July 1942, but Alaska was at that time exempted from its provisions, and service establishments were left under GMPR. Urgent. However, in some cases prices will have to be redetermined, Mrs. Her- mann explained All service establishments are re- quired to keep existing records of actual prices charged during March, 1942, and pricing methods used. In addition, each seller: will prepare before October 1 a statement in duplicate showing the highest prices charged for services supplied dur- ing March, 1942, and all customary allowances, discounts and other price differentials. Many serv:ce establishments filed reports -of their ceiling prices under the GMPR although there was no such requirement in the regulation. For obvious reasons these reports cannot be accepted as filings under the Services Regulation and every seller, regardless of whether he pre- viously submitted a report, must file his ceiling prices. For those who fail to comply with these re- quirements by October 1, 1944, the |OPA will set prices. A trade manual explaining how to meet the requirements of the regulation has been prepared and will be mailed to service estab- lishments, together with a copy of the regulations, within the next WANTED | WANTED—Emyployment lady, very exverienced in secre- tarial, clerical, stenographic, ac- counting and general office work.
