A program was held this afternoon and the final observance will be at 8 o'clock this evening. The history of the World Day of Prayer is an interesting one, begin- ning in 1887 when Presbyterian wo- men set aside a day to pray for the missions. Later two other wo- men made a trip around the world and were captivated by the discov- ery that Christian work is not di- vided by se: undaries.
