In order to swell the depleted | funds in the treasury of the Girls’ Club, an auction was held this morning around 11 o'clock, of cakes | baked by the girls, or possibly by' their mothers. Phillips auctioned off the first cake to Lois Allen for five cents, it being a beautifully decor- ated birthday cake complete with candles.
