The Japanese entered Changteh Monday and terrific street fighting resulted but with the air resistance the Japs have been driven back. The Chinese High Command also claims recapture of Tehshan on the highway between. Changteh and Changsha and have wiped out the Japs in two nearby villages. THEATRE LEE QUONG DIES HERE AT HOME Lee Quong, 53, one of the few Chinese in Alaska, and a longtime resident -of . Juneau, died home, 940 Pike Street, yesterday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock. The deceased was born in Quan- tone, China, April 3, 1890, and came to Alaska about 30 years ago, fol- lowing his profession as a cook in many parts of the Territory.
