THE DAILY ALASKA EMPIRE Mobile Can’reen Headed for Alaska JUNEAU ALASKA Our NEW YORKERS Live Up To Their Reputation . . . Not On It! ST § b 4 e J SALVATION ARMY MOBILE CANTEEN headed for Anchorage, Alaska, has really lived up to its name “mobile.” Purchased by the Rotary Anns, wives of Rotary club members of Chicago, the canteen was driven from Chicago to Seattle and arrived in Seattle to await its over-water trek to Alaska. The canteen was driven out by Brig. W. L. Rostett who turned it over to (ABOVE, LEFT) Maj. George W. Johnston and (RIGHT) Adj. J. E. Jones. The canteen is completely equipped and loaded with sup- plies and gifts for the armed forces to add to the already extensive Salvation Army services in the far north 97 Years Famous for Tailoring Fine Fabrics Into Value-First Clothes !
