Sommers, of the Sommers Construction Company, is back in Juneau this week after a six weeks’ trip in the States on which he covered the country from Chicago and Texas to the Pacific Coast. Mr. Sommers had business in Den- ver, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Chi- cago and Texas and found dis- agreeable weather everywhere. Travel, except on essential busi- ness and with priority, is extremely uncertain and unpleasant through- out the States, Mr. Sommers said. In speaking of the weather, he said some of the coldest he en- countered was in Fort Worth, Texas, where it was eight above zero with a wind like a Taku blow- ing. Mr. Sommers expects to remain in Juneau until next June, when he will leave in connection with his construction projects in vari- ous parts of the Territory. .- ! time tonight.
