S. ATTORNEY R. L. JERNBERG RETURNS TO- JUNEAU AFTER VISIT Assistant U. S. Attorney Robert L. Jernberz spent several days in Sitka on official business this week, leaving on Wednesday to return to Juneau where he has been in con- nection with the current term of the United States District Court. Mr. Jernberg, who formerly prac- ticed law here and was Sitka city attorney, renewed many friendships during his stay here, MISS BARBARA DOBLER, MRS. IRENE REYNOLD:! LEAVE FOR JUNEAU To spend several days vacation- ing in the Territorial Capitol Miss Barbara Dobler and Mrs. Irene Reynolds left by steamer last Sat- urday night for Juneau. Mrs. Reynolds does secretarial work for the Sitka Cold Storage Company and Miss Dobler is em- plpyed as secretary at the Naval Air Station. CHARLES WHITTEMORES, MRS. HOLTEN, JR., soil, is turret technician on a Flying Fortress with the U. S. Army Air Corps. Young Carter was graduated from the Ju- neau High School in the class of 1936. Following his gradua- tion he studied mechanical drafting and lumber grading and was continuing his studies at the time of his enlistment at Portland, Ore, 14 months ago. He went on duty with the Flying Fortresses in England last August and before leaving for Africa had participated in about 40 bombing trips from England over Northern France and Germany. RETURNS FROM TRIP John G. Holten, Jr., returned to Sitka this week aft-r a vacation trip of several weeks, during which he visifed relatives in Southeast Al- aska communities and also spent some time in the States.
