On this Armistice Day in the midst of war, we pause to pay tribute to other Americans who gave their lives for the same Freedoms for which we fight today. On this solemn day we remember them . . . we.pledge to "take up their quarrel with the foe” . . . to hold high the torch which_they left to us. We shall keep faith with these soldiers a8 well as with our own boys who are fighting now, at this very moment, for the greater Armistice Day and the’ lasting peace that will be ours.
