Activity centered on the left h#nd side of the Bowl which was free from wind and offered won- derful opportunites for skiers and photographers alike. Many feeét of splendid movies were taken by various skiers which should turn out to be some of the best ski pictures taken in this area. Visiting sklers were on hand from both Alta, Utah, and Cor- dova, Alaska, who joined in the ex- pression that Juneau ski possibili- |ties rank among the best offered anywhere. Those practicing speed runs n preparations for the Henning event were Joe Werner, Curtis Shattuck, Dean Williams, Allen Wicks, Axcl Neilsen, and Bruce Nibley. The ki day was ended by a group of skiers running a short but tricky slalom course. The final summary for the day ended at two skis broken, all boues sore but in excellent con- ditlon, and a grand time had by all. ————————— Mrs. Wickersham Is Back from Trip Mrs. Grace Wickersham returned to her home here by steamer this week after a visit of two months in the States. . She went east, ac- companied by her niece, Miss Ruth Coffin, and spent some time in New York City and one day in Washington.
