Billy McCann, once all-Alaska welterweight champion, in a radio, gram to The Empire stated: “I would like to challenge Lou Lovas (Sitka Kid), in a ten- or 15-round fight on the Fourth of July.” Information given here to Dean Hamlin, manager for McCann, states that “Oal” McGraw, who decisioned McCann in a furious 15-round battle in Sitka several months ago for the Alaska title| is giving up the title, which may go to McOann who will place it on the block in his fight here n Juneau. When the startling information was received here that Brouillette was definitely out and McCann had offered to fight, local fight backers and fans began to wonder if the battle should not be given as an outdoor attraction. According to promoter “Slugger” Weaver this morning, previous to the wires that were received here, everything was arranged to have the card held in the Coliseum The-| atre. It was doubted if the Coliseum would hold the large crowd that would turn out to see these two battlers settle their final and third .day night. 3 20TH CENTURY HAS NEW FiLM WITH BIG CAST 'Bennett, Lederer in Dram- atic Story, Also Nolan- Sten ""Other’”” Woman Halled as a drama of unmatched appeal, the new 20th Century-Fox film, “The Man I Married” comes to the 20th Century Theatre Sun- Preview audienccs were stirred by its dramatiz reveiation of a beautiful expuriences with the husband she thought she knew.
