S. Mar- shal’s office here informed The Em- pire the four men had been arrested and sentenced to 90 days in jail each, after a number of slot ma- chines were seized in their places of business. Later, another message sought to clear up the matter by saying the four had not been sentenced and the matter was still pending. Now we learn the truth, that the four were never arrested at all. Their slot machines were seized, but no action was taken against the four | proprietors. ———————— i " KETCHIKAN PILOT f- HERE FROM SOUT! | | Bud Bodding, son of Mr. and Mrs. | Olaf Bodding, of Juneau, arrived in Juneau late yesterday with two pas-| |sengers in his Waco biplane, flying from Ketchikan to Haines and re- |turn to Juneau with one of them.
