Seattle’s comeback in the nighteap gave the Rainiers the series by 4 to 3. It was the second time during the series that Hil- cher has been driven from the mound in a final inning. Doubicheader Blank Oakland blanked Los Angeles at both ends of a doubleheader Sua- day to capture the series 5 to 2. Stanley Corbett pitched his second victory of the week in the opener.
