Coleman got a home run with two men on bases to tie the score with Seattle after the home team had trailed throughout at Portland. Then, just when Portland got hot, rain began falling and the game was cancelled in the ninth inning with the score still tied, 8 to 8. Hollywood took a close game last night from Los Angeles by a score of 9 to 8 but the game had to go ten frames. A right field drive and an error paved the way for the winning score. San Diego got three runs last night in the ninth inning at Sac- ramento but the tallies were in- sufficient to keep Sacramento from winning and the game ended with Sacramento on the long end of the 6 to 5 score.
