Norman made the fol- lowing announcement: “Of interest to Alaskans who wish to prepare themselves for any of the various classes of Commercial or Amateur operator's licenses, or who will merely welcome the op- portunity to obtain a course of study in radio technique and radio law at a nominal cost, is the recent an- neuncement that a 95-page publi- cation known as the ‘Study Guide and Reference Material for Com- mercial Radio Operator Examina- tions’ is now available, and may be obtained by sending a money-order for fifteen cents to the Superin- tendent of Documents, Washington, D. C, and requesting the Study Guide by its full title. “The Study Guide has been pre- pared by the Federal Communica- tions Commission to assist candi- dates for operator's examinations to | prepare themselves by studying only | along the lines necessary for the particular class of examination in |which they are interested. The Guide is arranged in such a man- {ner that the reference material progresses through Elements 1 to 6 to the more advanced phases of the Radiotelegraph and Radiotelephone engineering and operating fields. “Persons now operating radio sta- tions in tthe Territory will also find the Guide a handy reference volume \to have in the station.” | Mary, | turgy | be ‘I o'clock desert luncheon. for this church column | by The Empire o'clock Saturday rantee change of etc. Notices must be received not later than morning to g ermon topics, CATHOLIC CHURCH Church of the Nativity of the Blessed V.
