THE CAPITOL has the BIG PICTURES and NEWS that is NEWS Sunday Monday Tuesday THE SHOW PLACE OF JUNEAU MILLIONS EAGERLY WAITING to SEE THESE FAMOUS FEUDSTERS CLASH on the SCREEN ..in a'laugh-loaded story..with a bit of heart-break behind every laugh! LAST TIMES TONIGHT A "NEWSBOYS' HOME” * “NORTH OF SHANGHAI" - “DICK TRACY" and NEWS DOUGLAS NEWS FIRST BASKETBALL GAMES IN DOUGLAS DRAW GOOD CROWD With two hard-fought games played at the natatorium last night, High School vs. Foundry and Jen- sen’s vs. Warner’s, the basketball season was ushered in for Douglas by the recently formed local league in its first doubleheader offering. A fair attendance of rooters and fans were fil'esent. For many of the unbiased spec- tators, leaving speoial interest in particular teams or certain players aside, performance of the high school boys was the best part of the show, Only their poor aim in con- verting frée throws caused their de- Teat by 13 to 14 points against their heavier and more experienced ad- versaries, the Foundry team of al- umni. Good team work, speed, and better endurance was there, but only three out of eight free tosses were converted while the Foundry scored on two out of four chances. D. ‘Wahto with seven was high man for D. H. 8. and Guerin with eight was top scorer for the iron moulders.
