Heading the technical crew is Stanton Bennett, who was chief en- gineer at the Bend, Ore., radio stu- dies before coming to Alaska. Ben- nett’s righthand man is August Hie- bert, who held the same position to the KPAR chief engineer when the former was at"Bend. Head of the continuity depart- ment will be Miss Irene Richards of Seattle. Miss Richards is well known to radio listeners on the Pacific Coast as a producer of women's spec- ialty programs at several Washing- ton state stations. She will also have charge of womens features for KFAR. Offered to the people of Alaska as his contribution to the continued * modernization and progress of the Territory, Station KFAR is owned by Capt. A. E. Lathrop, himself a pioneer in proving the northland.
