MRS. HERMANN SUES MARSHAL AND BONDSMAN Judgment Turned Over to! Wrong Party, Alleges Woman Atforney United States Marshal William T. Mahoney and the Shattuck| Agency, agents for his bondsman, | are sued for $400, interest and costs in a suit filed in District Court| today by Mrs. Mildred Hermann. Mrs. Hermann alleges in her complaint that Deputy Marshal Walter Hellan collected a $300 | judgment which she says was pre- | | viously assigned to her and ‘wrong- | | fully and illegally converted the| money to satisfy a default judg-| ment” against her client, Oscar Redden. Marshal Mahoney says he exe- | cuted the attachment at order of | ! the Court and turned the money | | over to the Clerk of Court. What | | happened to it after that he doesn't | | know and it isn't any of his busi- | ness, he says. | | Redden was defendant in a di- | vorce case brought by Mrs. Violet | Ryan Redden. Represented by Mrs. | | Hermann, he won a $300 judgment | and assigned it to his attorney in July, 1938. The decree was signed Jast March and execution issued in April.
