Mamma, financially harassed and ready to marry anyhedy who'd take care of Judy and her other child, Scotty Beckett, is just as happy to be kidnaped—especially after she meels Walter Pidgeon. Freddie is a comedy sock as a serious romance-promoter, with Pidgeon and Alan Hale as his prey. The Beckett youngster is brattishly cute, and Judy sings a lot. “Listen, Darling” is so full of hyman stuff and brightness that it's tonic for that tired feeling. “Young Dr. Kildare"—{first of a series—sends Lew Ayres, Lionel mrymm. Lynne Carver et al off to a flying start. Ayres -ambitious medico scores a real acting comeback, and gum s. mm is hunched splendidiy as a feature director.
