Washout Closes Richardson Road Until Near June 15 The Richardson Highway will not be open until at least June 15, it was announced today by the Alaska Road Commission. One-fourth of a mile of the road has been washed out along the Delta River between Mile 210 and Mile 212, Assistant Chief Engineer Hawley Sterling said, and the two miles are being rebuilt and re-routed now.
