A. J. La Gasa, left Kodiak March 29, after La Gasa had raised it from the bot- tom where it sunk a year ago, for Seward, via Port Williams. While drifting with engine trou- ble off Shuyak Island, the Polar Bear struck a reef, damaged her forefoot and rudder and broke the tail shaft.
