By CLIFF SFERBETT TONGASS T0 BE ON ALASKA RUN DURING MARGH Steamer Tonga recently pur- chased by the Alaska Transporta- tion Company, is expected to make her initial run to Southeast Alaska about the first of March. This is according to advices received by Ju- neau Agent D. B. Femmer. ‘The Tongass recently arrived in Seattle from San Francisco. Bids for repairs and alterations have been asked for. When the contract is let the vessel will go to the ship- yards of the successful bidder where work will be hurried for placing of the craft on the Southeast Alaska route at an early date, which is ex- pected to be about March 1 S EVELYN BERG DUE HERE WEDNESDAY Preighter Evelyn Berg is due here Wednesday according to advices re- ceived by Agent D.
