The barometer was'low from northern British Columbia along the coast to southern California with a central pressure of 29,70 inches west of Vancouver Island and also over central Canada with the cen- ter near Hudson’s Bay. Light rain fell over the Aleutian Islands and from Puget Sound to the San Francisco Bay region, light snow over the MacKenzie River basin and fair weather prevailed over the rest of the field of observation. Temperatures were lower this morning over western, northern and interior Alaska.
