One of these is the “in- formation at source” provision of the revenue act, under which per- sons, “in whatever capacity act- ing”, are required to report to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue at Washington, D. C. payments to another in any calendar year of $1,000 or more. If the recipient is married, reports need not be made of salary or other compensation for personal services unless the pay- ments aggregate $2,500 or more. If the marital status of the payee is unknown to the payor, the payee is considered a single person for the purpose of filing an informa- tion return of salary or other com- pensation for personal services. Fixed or determinabie income in- cludes wages, salaries, royalties, pre- miums, rent, interest, etc. A separ- ate return of information for each employee is required of employers. The requirements are not limited to periodical payments, but a single payment must be reported. Corporations are required to make a separate report of dividends or distributions for each individual citizen, or resident of the United States, resident fiduciary, or a resi- dent partnership any member of which is a citizen or resident, who was paid $300 or more during the calendar year 1936. Domestic corporations are requir- ed to make a return of information of dividends or distributions White Spot LIQUOR STORE PHONE 655 Prompt Delivery COAL For Every Purse and Every Purpose PACITIC COAST COAL CO. Thousands of delinquent returns and additional revenue amounting to millions of dollars have been secured as the result of the examination of information re- turns. FROLIC DANCE FINE SUCCESS Green, in honor of Old Erin and St. Patrick, who, history says, blue- ticketed all the snakes in Ireland, was the outstanding color used in decorating the High School Gym for the Frolic Dance given by the members of the Juneau High School student body last night. A large painting placed at the rear of the orchestra and smaller pictures on the bleachers depicting landscape scenes of Ireland. Hun- dreds of shamrocks tacked to the wall, covered the third side of the room and a decorated booth, from which punch was served, was at the farther side of the floor. The dance was marked by a large student crowd that attended, and from all appearances, had 2 fine time. During the intermission, the High School trio, composed of Pat Har-) land, Phyllis Jenne and Margaret Harris entertained with songs. Talented Edith Young and Cor- rine Duncan gave a piano duet. Ed Atkinson played several selections on his harmonca that delighted the audience. ————— DANCES ARE PLANNED | BY CATHOLIC YOUTHS| A business meenung of the local chapter of the Catholic Youths Or- ganization met Thursday evening, called by President Joseph Smith.
