This is one of the points our contest wInMr will vlllg 4 6.—Votes are free, 7.—Votes cannot be purchased. 8. 10— 5— 9.~ RULES AND REGULATIONS Daily Alaska Empire Circulation Contest of 18 (unmarried) is eligible to enter this campaign and compete for the prize trip-to California and Old Mexico. Nominations may be made at any time during the contest, the sooner the betler. The management reserves the righit to reject any nomination, without publishing the reason for so doing. The winners of the prize trips and the smaller prizes will be decided by their accredited votes, said votes being represented by ballots issued on ' subscriptions, by thé nominating ballot in The Empire and any free vote coupon which may be published in The Empire {rom fime to time. —Candidates are not confined to their particular town or community. in which to secure votes and subscriptions, but may take orders anywhere. Cash must accompany all orders, where votes are desired. There will be no exception to this rule. Candidates will be allowed to collect back subseriptions and renewals as well as entirely new subscriptions and votes will be issued on both. It costs the subscriber nothing extra: te vote for his or her favorite. Subsecribers should ask for votes when paving their subscriptions. Every cent accepted through the campaign department must represent subscriptions. Votes once cast are not transferable. A candidate cannot with- draw and transfer any votes cast in favor of another candidate. -Any effort or collusion on the part of any candidate or candidates to discourage competition by the spreading of false rumors or exaggerated stories, or anything done by any tandidate or candi- dates to the detriment of this newspapar or ‘contest will not be tolerated and any candidate or candidates violating this rule may be barred from receiving a prize in the contest. ’ —Any ballots issued .on subscriptions may be held in reserve and | voted at the discretion of the candidate.
