Hermann, prominent local club woman and attorney, opened the forum by discussing the subject both pro and con. In the open forum it was pointed out that almost every state has a law protecting the child and moth- er and providing for the support of the child. In the past, many of the books were misplaced a few months after 'being received and it is hoped that with the establishment of a library the children will have a chance to enjoy all of the books. Mrs. H. L. Wood is in charge of the project and if anyone would like to give away books they will be glad- ly accepted by the club members ‘for the children.
