At latitude 44 degrees and longitude 146 degrees was centered a high pressure area, the highest reported bing 3052 inch- es. This general pressure distribution has been attended by precipi- tation over the Aleutians and eastward to Kodiak Island, also over the Pacific Northwest States, and British Columbia, and by gen- erally fait weather over the remiinder of the field of observation. It was colder last night over the eastern and southern portions of Alaska and throughout the MacKenzie Valley, the lowest reported temperature being 38.below at Dawson. It was warmer last night over the Bering Sea region.
