8 HUGE STAGKOF MAIL ARRIVES ON PRINCESS 65 Pouchesfist Class, 3,1 223 Sacks Parcel Post and Second Class One of the biggest mail shipments | ever to arrive in Juneau came on the Princess Norah. Nearly 2,800 of the sacks | are destined for Valdez, Cordova; Seward, Anchorage and as far north as Nome, he said. The Coast Guard cutter Morris; which is scheduled to arrive here about 10 o'clock to- night, will load what she can for the Westward. Due to her small size she will not be able to take all the mail and may have to make two or three trips unless some other ves- sel is pressed into service There were 500 sacks including the first class for Juneau and two truck loads for points outside Juneau, in- cluding Tulsequah, the Postmaster reported. The postoffice at Tulse- quah is closed for the winter and the mail for that community will be distributed from the Whitewater Mining company office, he an- nounced, the mail being taken up from here by river boat. The Pacific Coast dock looked like the mailing rooms of a large city terminal today as the Postmas- ter put on four extra persons to help with the sorting and watch the huge shipment. o District Ranger W.
